Band Names: Judas Priest

The English heavy metal band, Judas Priest, was formed in Birmingham in 1969. While the band may have struggled for the first 10 years, changing its members many times with founding members coming and going, it is now considered one of the great metal bands from the 70s era.

Learning that another Birmingham band had changed its name from Earth to Black Sabbath, the band was also inspired to change theirs.
